Job summary

Right At Home – Lancaster, OH is seeking a compassionate caregiver for dayshift to provide non-medical in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities. You will help clients maintain independence through daily living activities, with respectful, personalized care.

The role includes ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and reminders, with thorough documentation and adherence to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Current auto insurance (if transporting clients).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Previous caregiving or related experience preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
• Provide medication reminders (no medication administration unless authorized).
• Escort clients to appointments and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Follow all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and client care plans.
• Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
