Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking an experienced dementia caregiver for a part-time evening shift in Connecticut. The role focuses on meaningful engagement with a lovely woman living with dementia, requiring patience, warmth, and the ability to provide compassionate redirection and companionship.

Starting pay is $19/hour with a consistent Tuesday and Thursday schedule (4:30 PM – 7:30 PM). The position offers paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive local office team.

We're Looking for Someone Special

We're looking for an experienced caregiver to spend a few meaningful hours each week with a lovely woman who is navigating the challenges of dementia and benefits from a calm, reassuring presence.

She needs someone who will take the time to connect with her—not simply complete a list of tasks. The right caregiver will understand how important patience, conversation, reassurance and meaningful engagement can be in helping someone living with dementia feel comfortable, secure and valued in her own home.

Extensive dementia care experience is required.

You'll use your experience to:

• Provide gentle redirection and reassurance
• Engage her in meaningful conversation and activities
• Recognize and respond compassionately to dementia-related behaviors
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain a calm, positive environment
