Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Care Giver/Medication Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. The role combines hands-on resident care with medication administration in a home-like environment, supporting daily living activities and well-being.

You will join a team focused on compassionate care, safety, and respectful treatment of residents, with a competitive wage and flexible full-time or part-time schedules at 2000 Cool Springs Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. Rate: $19.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with activities of daily living.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments, documenting accurately.
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
