Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician in Freehold, NJ. This role includes hands-on care, administering medications, and supporting residents in a home-like setting. Schedule options include part-time and full-time shifts 7a-3p and 3p-11p.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. CNA preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents, assisting with ADLs while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications, document accurately, and report concerns promptly.
• Monitor resident conditions and record changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and activity participation.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to call bells and security systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff about care needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
