Spokane Care to Stay Home is seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver to take on a leadership role while delivering high-quality care to seniors at clients’ homes.

You’ll mentor caregivers, coordinate transitions, and ensure consistent, compassionate client care. The role requires CNA/NAC certification, 3+ years of caregiving, and willingness to serve throughout Spokane and Kootenai County.

Competenze

• Current CNA/NAC certification required.
• 3+ years of professional caregiving experience.
• Willingness to work throughout Spokane and Kootenai County to support clients and caregivers.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain with employer support.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

What You'll Do

Lead & Mentor

• Introduce caregivers to new clients and help ensure successful care transitions.
• Coach and support caregivers through hands‑on training, skills refreshers, and competency assessments.
• Model professional caregiving practices and reinforce our quality standards.

Provide Exceptional Client Care

• Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and daily living activities.
• Provide companionship, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation or errands as authorized.
• Support clients with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Support Quality & Safety

• Conduct home safety checks and routine quality assurance visits.
• Identify changes in client needs and communicate concerns to the Care Manager.
• Assist with care plan updates and maintain accurate documentation.

Assist with Scheduling

• Help coordinate urgent caregiver coverage and respond to unexpected scheduling needs.
• Support clients, families, and caregivers by resolving concerns promptly and professionally.

What We're Looking For

• Current CNA/NAC certification required.
• 3+ years of professional caregiving experience.
• Must be willing to work throughout Spokane and Kootenai County to support our clients and caregivers.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain with employer support.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Experience providing hands‑on personal care and assisting with safe transfers.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable using mobile applications or electronic care documentation systems.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in challenging situations.
• A genuine passion for helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.
