Job summary

Ivy Living in California is seeking a Care Provider to assist residents with daily living activities and personal care. This on-site role emphasizes independence, safety, and compassionate support in a senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group.

The position offers pay range $19.00-$21.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, meals, life insurance, retirement plan, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong desire to work with elderly residents.
• Possess written and verbal communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• May be required to vaccinate, and wear PPE to prevent disease spread.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) per care plan, including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate observed changes in residents' condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and departments.

The Care Provider

is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents' independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident's service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
