Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking adaptable, compassionate in-home caregivers to provide non-clinical care and support to seniors in their homes. Shifts range from 4 hours to longer, with flexible full-time, part-time, or as-available opportunities.

Training is provided and a family-oriented environment is emphasized. Highlights include in-house training, a flexible schedule and locations, and the chance to work 4- to 12-hour shifts, choosing days or times that fit your life.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance.
• Must adhere to plans of care for client.
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Must have good communication skills and active listening.
• Must be able to stay calm in emergent situations and inform staff of changes to client status.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Provide transportation to shops, pharmacy or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping for the client.
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.

You will be responsible for ensuring an individual’s safety and well-being by providing supportive non‑clinical care. Schedules may vary from 4‑hour shifts and beyond as we care for some clients 24/7, so scheduling is flexible to either part time, full time, or as available. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, honest, in‑home caregivers to provide the best care possible to seniors as well as others who need in‑home care.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• One year proven experience as an in‑home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
