Job summary

A Place At Home Towson is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our Aberdeen, MD team. This role focuses on providing daily support and personal care to seniors and individuals in need, with a emphasis on safety and companionship.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and documentation of changes in client condition for supervisors. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, and reliable transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine compassion and patience when assisting seniors or disabled individuals.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed
• Document and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors

Requirements

• Prior caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, punctual work ethic
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients
