Job summary

Interim HealthCare of NEPA is looking for In-Home Caregivers/Home Health Aides in Scranton, PA. This role offers an hourly wage of $14-$15 and includes various shifts throughout the week. Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe environment for clients.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma, CPR certification, and at least six months of relevant experience. A compassionate nature and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for seniors living at home.
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing and meal preparation.
• Help with medication reminders and ensure a safe home environment.

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

• $14-$15 per hour
• Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
• 1:1 aide-to-client ratios

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring, and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document condition, and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
