Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide in Scranton, PA. This role supports seniors at home with daily living activities, mobility assistance and companionship.

You will join a local team in Lackawanna County, with 1:1 client ratios and shift options. Health coverage, weekly pay, and referral bonuses accompany online CEU training and skill-building opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months of personal care experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to help clients live safely at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping and transportation.
• Support ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Give medication reminders and document client condition for supervisors.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients in activities that bring joy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies).

In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide

with Interim Healthcare of Scranton, PA

in Lackawanna County (Scranton, Clarks Summit, Jermyn, Scott Twp, etc.)

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• Up to $18 per hour
• 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
• Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
• Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support
• Build your skills with online training and earn CEUs

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
