Job summary

Interim HealthCare of NEPA is seeking dedicated In-Home Caregivers in Scranton, PA to support seniors in their daily living needs. Ideal candidates will provide compassionate care including assistance with bathing, meal prep, and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• Six months of personal care experience in a similar role.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation.

What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• $14-$15 per hour
• Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
• CPR certification
• Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
