Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Pleasant Hill is hiring Caregivers to support seniors in Vallejo and nearby Crockett, Rodeo, Hercules and Pinole. As a Home Care Aide you’ll provide companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and monitoring wellbeing.

We offer flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, PRN), base pay of $21–$23/hr plus a $2/hr attendance bonus, and benefits like a 401(k) and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CA Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) or willingness to register.
• Current 2-step TB test or ability to obtain.
• CPR / First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
• Able to pass a national criminal background check and be bondable.
• Pass SYNERGY HomeCare orientation and online training.

Responsibilities

• Companionship, conversation, and emotional support for seniors at home.
• Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders and monitoring client well-being.
• Transferring, ambulating, and safe repositioning.
• Reporting changes in a client's physical, mental, or emotional condition promptly.
• Accurate care notes and mobile clock-in / clock-out.

Vallejo caregivers: one bridge, steady hours

We are hiring caregivers who live in Vallejo for in-home senior care shifts just across the Carquinez in Crockett, Rodeo, Hercules, and Pinole — fifteen minutes down Interstate 80, closer than most Vallejo caregivers drive today.

Caregiver, CNA, HHA, personal care aide, companion, assisted living, and memory care experience all count. Vallejo has one of the deepest healthcare workforces in the region, and we would rather hire from it than compete for it.

Where you'll be working

Client shifts in Crockett, Rodeo, Hercules, Pinole, Port Costa, and Martinez. We group your shifts geographically so you cross the bridge once, not three times.

Caregiver requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) with the State of California, or willing to register — we walk you through it
• Current 2-step TB test, or able to obtain
• CPR / First Aid certification, or able to obtain
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• Able to pass a national criminal background check and be bondable
• Satisfactory professional and personal referencesAble to complete SYNERGY HomeCare orientation and online training
• Able to perform light to moderate physical activity: standing, walking, kneeling, and assisting with repositioning

Caregiver pay and benefits

• $21.00–$23.00 per hour base pay, set by experience
• $2.00/hr attendance bonus — work every scheduled shift in the month and the bonus is applied retroactively to all hours you worked that month
