SYNERGY HomeCare of Pleasant Hill is seeking caregivers for in-home senior care in Antioch and nearby areas. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts with base pay $21.00–$23.00 per hour plus a $2.00/hr attendance bonus, plus benefits and ongoing training.

Responsibilities include companionship, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. Strong communication, punctuality, and a caring attitude are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) with the State of California, or willing to register.
• TB test (2-step) current or ability to obtain.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
• Able to pass a national background check and be bondable.
• Provide professional and personal references.
• Complete SYNERGY HomeCare orientation and online training.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors at home.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Plan meals, assist with cooking and light housekeeping.
• Administer medication reminders and monitor client well-being.
• Assist with transferring, ambulation and safe repositioning.
• Report changes in client condition promptly with notes and clock-in/out.

Caregiver / Home Care Aide - Antioch Caregivers Wanted

Antioch caregivers: short commute, steady hours

We are hiring caregivers who live in Antioch for in-home senior care shifts in nearby Pittsburg and Bay Point - a ten to fifteen minute drive on Highway 4, not an hour each way to Walnut Creek or Oakland.

Caregiver, CNA, HHA, personal care aide, companion, assisted living, and memory care experience all count. No agency background required. We train.

Where you'll be working

Client shifts in Pittsburg, Bay Point, Clayton, and east Concord. We build your schedule around where you live in Antioch and keep back-to-back shifts geographically tight so your day isn't spent driving.

What a Home Care Aide does here

• Companionship, conversation, and emotional support for seniors at home
• Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders and monitoring client well-being
• Transferring, ambulating, and safe repositioning
• Reporting changes in a client's physical, mental, or emotional condition promptly
• Accurate care notes and mobile clock-in / clock-out

Caregiver requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) with the State of California, or willing to register - we walk you through it
• Current 2-step TB test, or able to obtain
• CPR / First Aid certification, or able to obtain
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• Able to pass a national criminal background check and be bondable
• Satisfactory professional and personal references
• Able to complete SYNERGY HomeCare orientation and online training
• Able to perform light to moderate physical activity: standing, walking, kneeling, and assisting with repositioning

Caregiver pay and benefits

• $21.00-$23.00 per hour base pay, set by experience
• $2.00/hr attendance bonus - work every scheduled shift in the month and the bonus is applied retroactively to all hours you worked that month
