Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA, CNA, HHA) – Hiring Now in San Mateo County
$22–$25/hour | Part-time, full-time, weekend & live-in shifts | Daily pay available
Home Helpers Home Care of San Mateo County is hiring experienced Caregivers, Home Care Aides (HCA), CNAs, and HHAs with reliable transportation. You'll provide compassionate in-home senior care that helps clients stay safe, active, and independent at home and in the community.
Many of our clients need a caregiver who can provide personal care and drive, including rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and social outings.
Pay & Schedule
- $22–$25 per hour, depending on client assignment
- 4-, 5-, and 6-hour shifts, morning and afternoon
- Weekday, weekend, part-time, full-time, and live-in opportunities
- Option to work with multiple clients
- Caregivers with open availability get the most scheduling opportunities

What You’ll Do
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
- Safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's
- Hospice and end-of-life support
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Driving clients to appointments, stores, errands, and community activities
- Companionship and emotional support
Qualifications
- 18 or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Professional caregiving experience preferred
- Current California HCA registration (or willing to obtain)
- Negative TB test (or willing to complete before starting)
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, and a safe driving record
- Comfortable driving clients
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional
