Home Helpers Home Care of San Mateo County is hiring experienced Caregivers, Home Care Aides (HCA), CNAs, and HHAs with reliable transportation to provide compassionate in-home senior care throughout San Mateo County.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance; safe driving record.
• Professional caregiving experience preferred; ability to drive clients to appointments and activities.
• Current TB test or willingness to complete before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Assist with mobility and transfer needs.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, groceries, and community activities.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Support independence and safety in the home setting.

Home Helpers Home Care of San Mateo County is hiring experienced Caregivers, Home Care Aides (HCA), CNAs, and HHAs with reliable transportation to provide compassionate in-home senior care throughout San Mateo County.

If you enjoy helping seniors remain safe, active, and independent at home and in the community, this could be a great opportunity for you. Many of our clients need caregivers who can provide both personal care and transportation, including rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, social activities, and community outings.

We are currently hiring immediately and offer flexible scheduling with part-time, full-time, weekend, and live-in caregiver opportunities.

Pay

$22–$25 per hour, depending on client assignment

Available Caregiver Shifts

• 4-hour, 5-hour, and 6-hour shifts
• Morning and afternoon shifts
• Weekday and weekend shifts
• Part-time and full-time opportunities
• Live-in caregiver assignments
• Flexible scheduling
• Opportunities to work with multiple clients

Caregivers with open availability and flexibility typically have the greatest scheduling opportunities.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Depending on the client's needs, your responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
• Parkinson’s care
• Hospice and end-of-life support
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Transportation for seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, errands, and community activities
• Companionship and emotional support
• Helping clients maintain independence and quality of life
• Providing safe, respectful, one-on-one in-home care

Caregiver Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Professional caregiving experience preferred
• Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willing to obtain
• Current negative TB test or willing to complete before starting
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
• Safe driving record
• Comfortable driving clients to appointments, errands, shopping, and community activities
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional
