Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Home Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors in their homes in California. This role focuses on personal care, daily living assistance, and companionship while maintaining safety and comfort for clients.

Shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6am to 6pm. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CA HCA registration, CPR, and a valid CA driver's license. Training and CEUs are provided, with a flexible, caring work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and CA HCA registration.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Covid-19 vaccination card.
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and good communicator; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways and engage clients in activities.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in CA
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
