Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Vacaville, CA is seeking Home Care Aides/Caregivers for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6am–6pm shifts. You will provide personal care to seniors at home, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe home environment with compassionate support.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, CA HCA registration, CPR, and a valid CA driver’s license with auto insurance. Training opportunities and tuition discounts are offered by Interim HealthCare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active CA HCA registration.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Covid-19 vaccination card and valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
