Interim HealthCare in Truckee, CA is seeking a Caregiver/Home Care Aide to provide personal care for seniors in their homes. This 8-hour shift role pays $19/hour with benefits and a 1:1 client-to-aide ratio.

No experience is required. We offer online training, tuition discounts, and the chance to join a family of caregivers dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Clear Background Check and Drug Screen (THC not tested).
• Valid CA driver's license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care and support to seniors in their home.
• Assist with activities of daily living and light housekeeping.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Caregiver/Home Care Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide personal care and support services to seniors living in their home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Caregiver/Home Care Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role preferred
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen *We do not test for THC
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
