Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Shingletown, CA is seeking a Home Care Aide/Caregiver to help seniors stay safe and independent at home. You will provide personal care, companionship and support with daily activities, in a compassionate and respectful manner.

The role offers 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, online training with CEUs, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University. Health benefits require meeting minimum hours and a CA driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months in a healthcare role preferred.
• Clear background check and drug screen.
• We do not test for THC.
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor notifications.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities they enjoy.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Clear Background Check & Drug Screen
• We do not test for THC
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
