Interim HealthCare of Bay Area is seeking Home Care Aides/Caregivers who provide personal care and support to seniors in the comfort of their homes. The role includes bathing, dressing, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship while ensuring safety and dignity.

We offer online training, CEUs, tuition discounts, and a chance to build skills. Fridays–Sundays 6am–6pm shifts are available to help you plan your week and balance life and work.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent and active HCA registration in CA.
• CPR certification is required.
• Covid-19 vaccination card and valid CA driver’s license with auto insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor review.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways and assist client in activities that bring joy.
• Communicate with clients and caregivers to ensure quality, compassionate care.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in CA
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Covid-19 vaccination card
• Valid CA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
