Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 in Northwest Indiana is seeking compassionate CAREGIVERS for full- or part-time roles. You will work one-on-one with seniors in their homes, providing non-medical support and friendly companionship while assisting with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required; CNA, HHA, or 6+ months caregiving experience preferred
• Dementia/Alzheimer's care experience a plus
• Must have email, internet, and mobile phone access
• Pass a criminal background check (national and state as required)
• TB test current negative
• Physically able to lift/push/pull ~25 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to travel up to 15 miles for scheduled shifts
• Compassionate heart for older adults
• Excellent communication skills
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable

RESPONSIBILITIES
With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
