Job summary

Actikare is seeking compassionate Caregivers, CNAs or HCAs to join our in-home care team in the Burien and South Seattle area. HIRING IMMEDIATELY! Weekend shifts available, with other shifts as well. Must be licensed and insured driver.

As a caregiver you will provide companionship, assist with mobility and daily living activities, and help clients maintain independence at home. Competitive pay and a benefits package including health, vision, dental, PTO, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Active CNA or HCA certification with the state of Washington or in training program enrollment
• Reliable transportation available
• Ability to pass background and fingerprint checks
• Must read/write English and have US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily living tasks
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Prepare for clients
• Report any unusual incidents to agency, medical professionals, and family
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies

Caregiver Compensation and Benefits:

Caregiver / Home Care Aid (HCA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities:

• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and other daily living tasks
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Prepare for clients
• Report any unusual incidents to agency, medical professionals, and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements:

• ActiveCNA or HCA certification with the state of Washington - or proof of completion or current enrollment in training program
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint check
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English
• U.S. work authorization (Mandatory)
• Strong commitment to reliability and punctuality
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
