Job summary

MBK Senior Living in California is seeking a Full-Time Caregiver for Memory Care. The role focuses on providing compassionate, high-quality daily living assistance to residents, including mobility, personal care, and social engagement.

You will support ADLs, ensure safety, and help maintain dignity and privacy while delivering outstanding customer service within our memory care program. The position comes with a rich benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly and kindly to resident needs while maintaining independence, dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Read and validate understanding of ISP and lifestyle surveys at the start of each shift.
• Complete all resident assignments in ISP during the shift.
• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, hygiene, mealtime activities, and continence needs.
• Provide safe transport for residents and assist with transfers as needed.
• Respond to residents' behavioral expressions with compassion and follow-up per policy.
• Lead activities and engagement assignments to encourage participation and enjoyment.
• Complete housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents and the community.

Job Description

Schedule: Full Time, Sunday - Thursday (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00/hr

Job Summary

The Caregiver is a vital member of our community, dedicated to providing the highest degree of quality care and services. They assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including but not limited to personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, and bodily functions. Caregivers are responsible for delivering exceptional hands-on care while supporting the social and emotional well-being of MBK residents with compassion and superior customer service, as outlined in each resident's Individualized Service Plan, while prioritizing dignity, privacy, and safety in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responds to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident's independence, self-respect, personal dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• At the start of each shift, read and validate understanding of shift reporting, new or updated residents' Individualized Service Plan (ISP), and lifestyle surveys by initialing.
• Complete all resident assignments as directed in ISP during the work shift.
• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, hygiene (shaving, hair care, etc.), mealtime activities, bowel and bladder functions (assistance to bathroom, portable commodes, changing incontinency products, etc.), and participation in wellness programming.
• Perform regular resident safety checks; report changes in the resident's condition, including but not limited to mental status, behavioral expression, skin condition, appetite, etc.
• Aid at mealtimes if needed, with selecting meals, serving, eating, clearing, and delivering room trays as needed or assigned.
• Provide safe transport for residents by assisting with transfers into and out of beds and wheelchairs, using proper lifting and transferring techniques, and escorting residents to and from all meals, wellness programs, or other destinations, as needed or requested.
• Respond to residents' behavioral expressions with compassion; follow up as directed and according to policy.
• Complete resident program leadership and engagement assignments, encouraging participation and enjoyment.
• Complete all assigned housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents and the community, as required or assigned.
• Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators to ensure levels are as prescribed by the physician for the resident's needs, and as allowed by the state, if properly trained.
• Respond promptly to all resident alerts, emergencies, and requests, ensuring residents are always safe and comfortable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.
• Promote and lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication through consistent mentoring, coaching, and recognition program utilization, in alignment with MBK principles and core values.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or requested by the Supervisor or designee.
