Job summary

New Horizon Lodge in Stanton, CA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for the elderly on PM shifts (2pm-10:30pm). Full-time and part-time roles available, with a pay range of $17.00 to $19.00 per hour and a $500 sign-on bonus (conditions apply).

The position involves assisting with residents' basic needs, administering medications per Title 22, scheduling doctor visits, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment for residents. Background checks and TB tests are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.
• Full-time and part-time positions available in various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic needs of residents in the RCFE.
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents following Title 22 regulations.
• Order and reorder medication per physician instructions.
• Monitor medication administration records and report errors.
• Schedule resident doctor appointments and coordinate care.
• Maintain a safe, calm environment and assist during emergencies.

New Horizon is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 60+) located in Stanton, CA (Near Buena Park). We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Job Description:

• Assist with the basic needs of a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
• Monitor resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
