Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Trinity, FL is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to enrich residents’ lives through hands-on support and daily assistance. You’ll help with personal care, maintain a safe home-like environment, and promote dignity while fostering independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal support, and responding to calls. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents during shift
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
• Respond to resident call bells and safety systems promptly
• Promote independence while maintaining dignity and safety
• Keep resident rooms and work areas clean and organized
• Offer companionship and encouragement to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities
• Notify supervisor of changes in care needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
