Job summary

Right at Home in Pasadena is seeking caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to join our team and serve seniors and adults with disabilities. We offer PPE, training, and opportunities to improve quality of life for those in need while working for a fast-growing, international home care company with 25+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
• Up to date TB test results (within 90 days).
• Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• Valid HCA registration, Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
• Spanish, Mandarin or Cantonese speaking preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home.
• Performing housekeeping activities (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, dishes, laundry, etc.).
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments.
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving.
• Medication reminders.
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises (mirroring exercises).
• Dementia care.
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Education

High school / GED

HCA / Home Health Aide cert.
