Job summary

BrightStar Care is hiring a Caregiver in Brunswick, GA to provide in-home care for seniors and adults needing assistance with daily activities. You’ll work a flexible schedule, receive competitive pay, and support from experienced staff as you help clients stay independent at home.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, and accompanying clients to appointments. A CNA/PCA certification and valid driver’s license are required, along with CPR and HIPAA adherence.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA or PCA Certification
• Must have at least 2 years' experience as a caregiver
• High school diploma or GED
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Assist client with mobility work defined by the plan of care and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements

• Minimum one (2) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
• Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
