Job summary

BrightStar Care of St. Simons Island, GA is seeking Overnight Caregivers to support in-home care for seniors.

This role involves helping with personal care, mobility, and accompanying clients to appointments, while following the plan of care and communicating changes to the Director of Nursing. Candidates must have CNA or PCA certification, at least 2 years of caregiver experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a caregiver
• CPR certification and TB skin test or chest X-ray
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• CNA or PCA certificate required
• Ability to read, write, speak English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Document observed changes to the Director of Nursing and follow plan of care

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers

• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements:

• Must have CNA or PCA Certificate (if you do not have it, we can help you get one)
• Must have at least 2 year experience as a caregiver
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one (2) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
• Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
