Centre for Neuro Skills in Webster, TX is seeking a Caregiver/Direct Care Provider (PRN) to support residents with brain injuries in daily living activities and therapeutic programs in a home-like setting.

You will teach and supervise patients in ADLs, assist with transfers, and help coordinate social and community activities while maintaining safety.

Available PRN shifts start at $18.00/hour with potential to earn up to $21.25/hour through a continuing education program and shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License, with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Teach, monitor, and document ADL and therapeutic home programs for patients.
• Perform bed, bath, toilet, and chair transfers (up to 20 times per shift) using approved transfer techniques.
• Ensure safety for patients, visitors, staff, and yourself when potential behavioral outbursts occur.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, your role of Caregiver/Direct Care will involve supervising and directly training patients with brain injuries in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and therapeutic home programs. You'll be working in a beautiful residential apartment/home-like setting, offering skilled instruction and supervision to patients. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to engage in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities in community settings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Teach, monitor, administer and document individual patient programs including ADL's and therapeutic home programs in English.
• Perform bed, bath, toilet, and chair transfers (up to 20 times per shift) using approved transfer techniques.
• Ensure for the safety of patients, visitors, staff, and yourself when interacting with patients who may have behavioral outbursts, which can include yelling, exiting, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, scratching, and throwing objects.

Experience and Education

• Educational Background: Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License, with a clean a driving record
• Work Experience: Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal record check (fingerprints) for caregiver positions.
