Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hanover is seeking caring individuals for a part-time position with the potential for up to full-time hours depending on flexibility, availability, and demand. You will travel to client homes in Hanover, Spring Grove, New Oxford, Abbottstown, PA, and surrounding areas to provide companionship and non-medical support.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and effective communication with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to apply.
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• Passing criminal background check and drug screening.
• A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Positive attitude and proven track record of dependability.
• Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• CNA license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and needed companionship to seniors at home.
• Issue medication reminders.
• Conduct household errands and provide transportation to doctor's appointments.
• Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Provide mobility assistance, such as assisting with walking and transfers.
