Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking CAREgivers to bring comfort, companionship, and independence to seniors in their homes in Columbia, SC. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, light housekeeping, and personal care while delivering empathetic companionship.

We offer flexible part-time and full-time schedules, competitive pay of $15–$17/hour, plus 401K, paid time off, health benefits, and on-the-job training. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Heart for Caring: Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Experience: 6 months of caregiving experience preferred (family experience counts!)
• Reliability: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform necessary movements

Responsibilities

• Help with daily grooming, hygiene, and toileting needs
• Assist with movement and transfers (including hoyer lifts and gait belts)
• Create a safe, clean home environment with light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking
• Provide companionship, medication reminders, and specialized care for dementia clients
• Run errands, provide transportation, and more

Your Role as a CAREgiver:
