Requirements

Homemakers must be able to assist clients with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor), nail care (excluding trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers. Physical abilities include:

• Push and pull clients weighing at least 100 pounds
• Lift clients up to 50 pounds
• Move in tight spaces and around furniture
• Perform standing, walking, squatting, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, twisting, sitting, reaching above and below shoulder level
• Perform physical tasks for up to an hour without rest
