Job summary

Village Caregiving - Bluefield, VA is seeking a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our team. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, support mobility, and help with daily living activities for clients in a one-on-one setting.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work nights or weekends. Prior healthcare or in-home care experience is preferred. We value empathy and reliability in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly or recovering clients.
• Assist clients with prescribed medications and ambulation.
• Aid mobility around the home or to appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Support daily living activities including meals.

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
