Job summary

Villagecaregiving is seeking a compassionate Caregiver/CNA to join our growing team in Massachusetts. This role focuses on providing high-quality, one-on-one care to clients in their homes, supporting daily living and comfort.

You will perform hygiene assistance, mobility support, meal prep, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. A compassionate attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a one-on-one setting and continuously learn new skills.
• Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks as required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily duties.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and patient confidentiality.
• Available for different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility to appointments and daily activities.
• Plan and prepare meals and accompany client shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and report incidents promptly.
• Engage clients with activities essential for daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Medication reminders and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
