BrightCare HomeCare LLC in Mandeville, LA seeks a compassionate Caregiver or CNA to provide high-quality in-home care. Experience with dementia and behavioral challenges is preferred, and a Hoyer Lift is required.

Part-time or full-time roles available with weekly pay and benefits. Candidates must pass a background check, provide references, and be reliable with alternating weekends. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meals, and following care plans.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or equivalent caregiving experience (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with dementia and/or behavioral issue clients
• Experience using a Hoyer Lift required
• Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work every other weekend as scheduled
• Must pass background check and provide professional references

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers using a Hoyer Lift or other assistive devices safely and correctly
• Monitor and document changes in client condition or behavior, and report concerns promptly to supervisors or healthcare providers
• Support clients with dementia and behavioral issues, utilizing patience, redirection, and de-escalation techniques
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding as needed, and encourage fluid and food intake
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients
• Engage clients in activities that promote emotional and physical well-being
• Follow care plans and medication reminders as directed
• Communicate effectively with family members, supervisors, and other care team members
