Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including in-home care, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. In this vital role, you will assist our clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well‑being, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, and IADL's.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly.
- Support medication reminder following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well‑being.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness by assisting with light housekeeping tasks and ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to care plans for accurate reporting to healthcare teams.
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general.
- CPR and First Aid certification to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or sit‑to‑stand lift.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with transfers or mobility support.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and family members while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Compassionate approach to caring for seniors and individuals requiring hospice or palliative care support.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast‑paced environments like group homes or in‑home care settings.
Compensation
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
