Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team. You will provide personal care, assist with mobility, plan meals, and support daily activities for clients in a one-on-one setting.

The role requires a caring demeanor, reliability, and ability to handle emergencies with composure. Prior healthcare experience is valued and a valid driver’s license is important.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal hygiene and daily living support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Remind and assist clients with prescribed medications and ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around home or outdoors (appointments, walks).
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shops.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.
• Offer daily living activities and support meals when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Help clients with a reminder to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
