Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a Part-Time Caregiver Companion at Hale Makua Health Services in Wailuku, Maui. You will provide hospitable personal care, homemaking, and friendly companionship to Kupuna, supporting daily living needs and collaborating with the nursing team.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program, CPR/First Aid, and a valid drivers license. CNA certification is preferred; TB clearance will be completed in-house.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program is required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification is required.
• A valid drivers license is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct services to residents, supporting daily living needs and assisting the nurse in a holistic approach to care.
• Recognize, record, and report any significant changes in health status or well-being to the nurse promptly.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria for adults and the elderly.

The Position:

We're looking for a caring and compassionate Substitute Caregiver (Companion) to sustain our Kupuna through hospitable, welcoming personal care, homemaking, and befriending. Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct services to the residents of the ARCH, supporting their daily living needs, and supplementing the care of the nurse in a holistic approach to care.
• Recognize, record, and report to the nurse in a timely manner any significant change in the resident's health status, and/or mental or physical well-being.
• Demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to adult and geriatric patient populations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18
• Must complete a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• CPR and First Aide Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii, preferred
• 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house)
