Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services in Maui seeks passionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to provide nursing care including personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

CNAs orient residents to the unit, respond to calls and alarms, and keep the Charge Nurse informed. This full-time opportunity includes a $5,000 retention bonus (or $2,500 with Regular Part-time status) and strong benefits; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State of Hawaii.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (in-house possible).

Responsibilities

• Orient residents to unit and facility routines; introduce to residents and explain schedules.
• Respond to resident calls, call bells, alarms and inform Charge Nurse when needed.

The Position

We're looking for passionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to help us with providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

• Ohana Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas; introduces to residents at table; informs of meal schedule and snack times; and informs of activity calendar and where activities are held.
• Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, alarms immediately. Responds to family requests immediately. Informs Charge Nurse when required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
