Job summary

Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, WI is seeking a compassionate Caregiver (PCW) or CNA to provide hands-on daily living support, including personal care, medication assistance, meal support and mobility. You will monitor wellbeing, communicate changes to the care team, and help create a safe, engaging environment promoting resident independence.

The role requires reliability and a patient, high-quality care mindset for seniors in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Preferred CNA or Caregiver experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Performs CNA duties including nursing and nursing-related services.
• Collects data on residents under RN/LPN direction.
• Implements plan of care honoring individual needs.
• Provides direct resident care and reports changes to caregivers.
• Respects resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Adheres to safety policies and infection control procedures.
• Documents care outcomes within approved procedures.

Job Summary:

A Caregiver (PCW) or CNA at Bell Tower Residence is compassionate and dependable. In this role, you will provide hands‑on support with daily living activities, including personal care, medication assistance, meal support, and mobility, while promoting resident dignity and independence. Caregivers also monitor resident well‑being, communicate changes to the care team, and help create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and committed to delivering high‑quality care to seniors and individuals in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs all services required of a CNA including providing nursing and nursing‑related services to individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Initial and ongoing data collection on all patients/residents under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Implements plan of care based on patient/resident physical, psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.
• Provides direct patient/resident care and reports condition and changes to RN or LPN.
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
• Actively maintains the confidentiality of resident and facility information.
• Demonstrates respect for co‑workers and responds to needs of residents by complying with facility policies on attendance and punctuality. Arrives and begins work on time.
• Has working knowledge and ability to comply with facility policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, application of universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens, use of personal protective equipment and handling of hazardous materials.
• Demonstrates time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Document results of patient/resident care within established policies, procedures and scope of practice.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must have good communication skills

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a Caregiver or CNA in a long‑term care setting
