Job summary

Visiting Angels in Norwalk, CT is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical home care and companionship to local seniors. You will support daily living activities, assist with personal care, and help with errands and transportation in clients’ homes.

Roles offer flexible scheduling (FT/PT/Overnight/Live-In) and may require travel within Norwalk and nearby communities. Prior caregiving experience and a compassionate, reliable attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months of caregiving experience is preferred.
• Basic English reading and speaking required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Dementia experience preferred.
• CNA/HHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical companionship and assistance to seniors
• Assist with personal care including bathing and dressing
• Run household errands and provide transportation
• Assist with grocery shopping, meal prep, and light housekeeping
• Monitor medication schedules and reminders throughout the day

What You’ll Do:

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing and dressing
• Run household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments
• Handle grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Monitor medication schedules and give reminders throughout the day

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 6 months of caregiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Able to speak and read English
• Dementia experience preferred
• Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) / HHA preferred
• Ability to work in a facility environment preferred
