Job summary

Comfort Keepers San Diego is seeking compassionate caregivers to support local seniors in their homes across San Diego County, including Vista, CA. You will provide one-on-one care to help clients remain safe, comfortable and independent.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation. A valid CA driver’s license is required; benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid training, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers.
• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and errands.
• Support clients living with dementia or other cognitive or behavioral health challenges.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition.
• Communicate with the care team to ensure client needs are met.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $18..50-$25.00 per hour. Your rate reflects your experience and credentials.

What You'll Do

As a Comfort Keepers caregiver, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Depending on your client's needs, your day may include:

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Providing medication reminders
• Helping with transportation to appointments and errands
• Supporting clients living with dementia and other cognitive or behavioral health challenges
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
• Communicating with our care team to ensure your client gets the support they need

Required

• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Prior caregiving, CNA, or HHA experience
• Experience with dementia or behavioral health care
• Availability for weekend or overnight shifts
