Job summary

Comfort Keepers San Diego is hiring compassionate caregivers to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. You’ll provide one-on-one care, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation support as needed.

Must have a valid California driver’s license, pass a background check, and be authorized to work in the United States. Weekends/overnights may offer higher pay, with full- and part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility and transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.

• Help with transportation to appointments and errands.
• Support clients living with dementia and other cognitive challenges.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Communicate with the care team to ensure client support.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $18..50-$25.00 per hour. Your rate reflects your experience and credentials.

What You'll Do

As a Comfort Keepers caregiver, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Depending on your client's needs, your day may include:

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Providing medication reminders
• Helping with transportation to appointments and errands
• Supporting clients living with dementia and other cognitive or behavioral health challenges
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
• Communicating with our care team to ensure your client gets the support they need

Required

• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Prior caregiving, CNA, or HHA experience
• Experience with dementia or behavioral health care
• Availability for weekend or overnight shifts
