Job summary

Comfort Keepers San Diego is seeking compassionate caregivers to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home in the Poway area. Positions include part-time and full-time roles with opportunities for growth as you gain experience and responsibilities within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers.
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Helping with transportation to appointments and errands.
• Supporting clients living with dementia and other cognitive or behavioral health challenges.
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition.
• Communicating with our care team to ensure your client gets the support they need.

Pay: $18..50-$25.00 per hour. Your rate reflects your experience and credentials.

What You'll Do

As a Comfort Keepers caregiver, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Depending on your client's needs, your day may include:

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Providing medication reminders
• Helping with transportation to appointments and errands
• Supporting clients living with dementia and other cognitive or behavioral health challenges

• Communicating with our care team to ensure your client gets the support they need

Required

• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Prior caregiving, CNA, or HHA experience
• Experience with dementia or behavioral health care
• Availability for weekend or overnight shifts
