Job summary

WACO TX ARBOR HOUSE LP is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide essential support across all shifts in senior care settings, including assisted living and home care. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and offer social engagement to promote wellbeing.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, dementia knowledge, and strong communication skills. CPR/First Aid is desirable, and flexibility across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home care.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and behavioral management.
• CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Able to assist residents with ADLs and mobility aids like Hoyer lifts.
• Strong communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
• Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure health stability.
• Administer medications following schedules and protocols.
• Provide companionship and social engagement to reduce isolation.
• Support memory care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's.
• Prepare meals per dietary needs and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with light housekeeping.

• Support residents with transportation to outings or appointments when qualified.

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
• Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
• Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or assisting with transportation arrangements when qualified

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
• Knowledge of Alzheimers disease, dementia care, and behavioral management techniques
• Ability to perform CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable
• Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs and using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Experience in medication administration and vital signs monitoring according to protocols
• Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills tailored to individual needs
