Job summary

WACO TX ARBOR HOUSE LP in Waco, Texas is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide essential support and personalized care to residents across assisted living and memory care environments.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, accompany residents on outings, prepare meals, document care in EMR, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comfort and safety for individuals with dementia or developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home and community care environments.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and behavioral management techniques.
• CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in medication administration and vital signs monitoring.
• Ability to work across all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature) per protocol.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
• Provide companionship and social engagement to reduce isolation.
• Support memory care residents with dementia care techniques.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Document care activities in EMR systems and communicate with healthcare teams.
• Assist with transportation to outings or appointments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping.
• Support residents with dignity, comfort, and safety.
