Job summary

BrightStar Care in Clermont, FL is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal care, hygiene support, meal prep, and daily living assistance in clients' homes. You will help clients stay independent and safe while building trusting relationships.

This position offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive team. Must have CPR certification and a valid driver’s license; previous home care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred where required by law.
• CPR certification (ARC).
• Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization’s requirements.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to travel up to 30 minutes as needed for client care service needs as well as staff and business needs including job required training and conferences.
• Experience working with a Hoyer Lift, EZ Stand, Cath Care, and Gait Belts.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene care including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, feeding, linen changes and light housekeeping.
• Prepare and administer meals according to client’s diet.
• Take and record vital signs, height and weight if necessary.
• Assist with range of motion per plan of care and report changes to the Director of Nursing.
• Assist with walking and transportation to doctor appointments, activities and shopping.
• Promote a safe environment by adhering to policies and standards.
• Ensure client rights are respected.

Responsibilities

• Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, linen changes and light housekeeping

• Assist client in active and passive range of motion defined by the plan of care, document observed changes and report any changes to the Director of Nursing

• Ensure client’s rights are adhered to

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred unless where required by law

• Certified CPR and current physical or T.B./PPD test, if applicable
• Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization’s requirements
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
