Job summary

Avamere Living in Seaside, OR is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for the NOC shift (10pm-6am) Wed–Sat. You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and help maintain a safe, clean living environment.

Requirements include CPR/First Aid, Food Handler's Card, EMR experience, and a genuine desire to enhance seniors' quality of life. Compensation is hourly with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must obtain Food Handler's Card.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility assistance: helping residents walk, transfer, and use mobility aids.
• Meal preparation and tray removal; maintaining cleanliness of rooms.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor health changes and report concerns; assist with basic health maintenance.

Type: Full-Time

Shift/Schedule: NOC shift (10pm-6am), Wednesday-Saturday

Wage: $18.58-$24.24/hr DOE

Attendance bonus: The perfect attendance bonus in a pay period will be $100.00 for a full-time employee and $75.00 for a part-time employee.

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.


• Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support: Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.


• Companionship: Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.


• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.


• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.


• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.


• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.


• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.


• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.


• Must be 18 years or older.
