Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC seeks a caring Caregiver for full-time/part-time/on-call roles at Avamere at Park Place in Portland, OR. Shifts include NOC 10pm–6am; PRN on-call and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing emotional support, housekeeping, safety, and confidentiality. Requirements include memory care experience, CPR/First Aid, food handler card, EMR experience, 18+ years old, and a warm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Must have ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Personal Hygiene, Mobility, Meal Preparation.

• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: observe health changes and report to professionals.

• PRN: On-Call, All shifts available, Weekend availability needed

Wage: $21.44-$26.94/hr DOE
Location: Avamere at Park Place- 8445 SW Hemlock St., Portland, OR 97223 - Near Tigard, OR

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, includingassisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications
