Job summary

Avamere Living in Seaside, OR is seeking a dedicated caregiver for a full-time NOC shift (10pm-6am). The role includes assisting residents with daily living activities, providing emotional support, helping with housekeeping, and ensuring safety and well-being.

Responsibilities cover ADLs, mobility, meal prep, companionship, health monitoring, and maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications include memory care experience, CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s Card, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver in memory care and/or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Provide mobility support for walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Assist with meal setup, food cutting, and tray removal.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including housekeeping and laundry.
• Observe health changes and report concerns; monitor vital signs as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report safety concerns.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.

Type: Full-Time

Shift/Schedule: NOC shift (10pm-6am), Wednesday-Saturday

Wage: $18.58-$24.24/hr DOE

Attendance bonus: The perfect attendance bonus in a pay period will be $100.00 for a full-time employee and $75.00 for a part-time employee.

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.


• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.


• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.


• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.


• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.


• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.


• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.


• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.


• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.


• Must be 18 years or older.


• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
